Brian Stepanek

Brian Stepanek has served as the head lacrosse coach at Westlake High School since 2014, and has previously worked for Cleveland club programs at Force, Xcelerate, and most recently Burning River.

 

Coach Stepanek, or “Step,” as his players call him, has been recognized by both media and his peers with multiple Coach of the Year awards at the local and state level, he also has served as Head Coach of the North team for the Ohio High School Senior All Star Game since 2018.

 

A Hudson native, Stepanek played defense for Western Reserve Academy, helping the team to a Midwest Championship before matriculating to Division III Dickinson College, where he contributed to 2 NCAA tournament runs, including a final season ranking of #2 in 2011.

 

Coach Step lives in Lakewood with his dog, Willy, and works in the software business for the Oracle Corporation.
