Nate Sprong
Nate attended Fayetteville-Manlius HS in Syracuse, NY & was a 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball & lacrosse. Nate was 2 time All County in football & lacrosse while earning Defensive MVP in football & basketball & Offensive MVP in Lacrosse. Additionally, Nate earned the Fayetteville-Manlius Babe Ruth Award & was selected as the Onondaga County Italian-American Club Class A Athlete of the Year. Nate was also a member of the Central New York Empire State Games Gold Medal Team. Nate was a member of Dave Urick’s first recruiting class at Georgetown & was selected to the 1994 North-South All Star Game his senior season. During his tenure at St Xavier the program won State Championships in 2015 & 2018, while being State Runner up in 2019. St Xavier also won the 2018 & 2019 MSLCA (Midwest) Championships. Coach Sprong has been selected as the 2018 Ohio Coach of the Year, 2019 MSLCA (Midwest) Coach of the Year & and the Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year in 2015, 2018 & 2019. Coach Sprong lives in Anderson Township with his wife Amy, children Molly, Luke & Will & dog Gus.
