Laura Sandbloom

Laura Sandbloom

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Laura was a two-time High School USALacrosse All-American and two-time state champion lacrosse player for Upper Arlington High School before playing for The Ohio State University Women’s Lacrosse team from 2006-2010. She served as team co-captain in 2010 and lettered all four years of her eligibility as a starting defender for the Buckeyes. From 2015-2019, Laura served as an assistant coach to Steph Sanders at Colorado Academy in Denver, Colorado. During Sanders’ and Sandbloom’s tenure together, the Mustangs won five back-to-back Colorado state championships. Laura took over as head of Program in 2019, and despite the cancellation of the 2020 season, she led her team back to the State finals and ultimately, another pair of state championships in 2021 and 2022 as Head of Program. In total, she helped lead the Mustangs to seven back-to-back state championships since 2015. Laura was also named the Colorado High School Coach of the Year for Girls’ Lacrosse for the 2022 season by CHSAA (Colorado High School Athletics Association). She recently relocated back to central Ohio with her husband and two young children.
