Resolute University Summer Session

Youth / Middle School Session
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays (6/1 - 6/17)
Location: The Resolute Athletic Complex
Times: 9 - 10:30am
Spots Available: 10 Goalies, 10 Defensemen, 30 Attack/Midfield
Athletes will be split up based on grades (Middle School: 6th, 7th & 8th and High School: 9th. 10th. 11th & 12th) on 2 seperate fields for positional training.  Each positional training group will focus on high level skills for the appropriate positions. 
  1. Attack/Middie Focus: Shooting, Stickwork, Ground Balls, Footwork, Spacing, Decision Making, General Lacrosse IQ, Field Awareness, Communication
  2.  Defense Focus: Communication, Footwork, Angles, Slides, Situational Awareness, Slide Recognition & Packages, Approach & Recovery
  3. Goalie Focus: Positioning in the Goal, Communication, Vision & Speed (Eye & Hand Coordination), Attacking the Ball, Footwork

Athletes will work with the other players within their age groups to compete against one another.  The focus will be on game play: transition drills, 1 v 1, 2 v 1, 3 v 2, 4 v 3, 5 v 4 & small sided game play. We believe this is an essential component to training in building on top of the foundational skills that will be taught in the position - specific training.

Athletes will be put through intense speed and agility training with Coach Jack Jasinksi.  The speed and agility focus: Footwork, Speed, Strength & Conditioning.
